Draper Investment Company seeks out new and innovative technology companies that are establishing critical technology mass in new emerging markets. The venture capital firm has recently decided to provide funding for Berlin-based Plista, a social recommendation and personalization platform that has created a great deal of excitement in the technological world. Plista was recently featured at the Web 2.0 Expo Europe, where it displayed vast potential for the world of social interaction for publishers and media companies. Plista uses collaborative filtering to recommend content to users as they browse the Internet. Plista was founded in July 2008 by Dominik Matyka, Christian Laase, and Andreas Richter, though research and development began two years prior. The company currently employs over 30 individuals who are working to implement the technology in several different formats. Plista is primarily marketed toward publishers and advertisers working on the Internet. Plista provides a highly personalized format in direct contrast with banners and pop-ups, which are no longer effective for reaching Internet audiences. With result-oriented marketing, Plista is quickly becoming the essential element for preference-based media planning in advertising. More information about Plista and what benefits it holds for both advertisers and publishers can be found on the company’s website - www.plista.com. Add Comment |
